Gwennith Lee Marshall, cherished daughter, devoted mother, and beloved Granny, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on February 22, 1937, in Hamburg, MN, to Chester Cope and Gertrude Mueller. Gwennith made an indelible mark on the lives of her family and friends throughout her journey.
A resident of Milford, OH, Gwennith was an active and treasured member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church for over 50 years, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her warmth with all. Her life was brimming with love, laughter, and an unyielding spirit. Known for her infectious giggle and welcoming demeanor, she could light up any room and instantly make others feel at ease.
Gwennith's greatest joy came from her family. She devoted her time to creating cherished memories with her children and her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. Holidays at Gwennith's home were filled with laughter, warmth, and her renowned hosting skills. Her passion for gardening, playing cards, and collecting ornaments and salt and pepper shakers were just a few of the ways she brought joy to her life and those around her. In her younger years, she found great delight in boating and golfing, as well as enjoying the sun-soaked shores of Hilton Head Island, SC.
As we remember Gwennith, we celebrate a life well-lived, characterized by her headstrong yet kind nature, her generosity of spirit, and her deep love for family. She had a unique ability to embrace everyone she met as a friend, leaving lasting impressions on the hearts of many.
Gwennith was the beloved wife of 36 years to the late Ronald E. Marshall; Loving mother of Pamela Marshall, James (Terri) Atwood, Debbie Sue (Richard) Fisher, and Brenda Gray; Cherished Granny of Julie (Matt) Lee, Jennifer (Patrick) Joerger, Andrea (Rob) Pohlman, Brittany Trentman, Michael Atwood, Abigail Atwood, Trisha Moore, Thomas (Liz) Moore, Brian Moore, Rick Fisher, Stacey (Kirk) Lovin, Amy (Emerson) Paulk, and 20 great grandchildren; Dear sister of Thomas (Lavelle) Cope and the late Roberta Polley.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home - Goshen. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Gwennith will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
