Gwyn Ann Lenhart

March 25, 1950 - September 2, 2026

Gwyn Ann Lenhart, beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, passed away on September 2, 2026 - her 53rd wedding anniversary in Columbus, Ohio. She was 76 years old.

Gwyn was born in Irwin, Pennsylvania, to Richard David and Hazel Louise Thornton (Painter). She spent a year at Ambassador College and then moved to Columbus, Ohio, where her husband's career with federal government took the family. It was there she built the life she would call home for decades.

She enjoyed a career as a paralegal while raising their two children, Danelle and David.

Gwyn was, first and always, a character - funny, warm, and impossible to forget. True to her love of a good nickname - Gwyn playfully named her sister Sandy "Siticoo," her brother Clay "Claybooch", and sister Bethany "Beeb," their mother was "Meeb," and Bill was, "Billiboo." She was always ready with a comical remark that would have everyone laughing.

Gwyn loved staying informed: the news, politics, autobiographies, and anything to do with health and nutrition. She loved making healthy salads and pies - apple, pecan, raisin and pumpkin were favorites. She loved reading - especially biographies and the Bible. Most importantly her faith and walk with God was at the center of her life. Family memories centered around church activities including annual feasts often shared with extended family members.

Gwyn Ann Lenhart will be remembered for her wit, warmth, faith and perseverance.

Gwyn is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter Danelle (married to Joe Bartish - "The best son-in-law in the world!") her son David; her brother Clay, sister Bethany and a wide circle of nieces and nephews - Ayelet, Amy, Becky, Julie, Tracy, Trent and Levi. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Louise, her father, Richard David and her sister Sandy.

A service will be held at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Cincinnati; Friday, September 11 2026 at 10:00 am.
