Harold C. Hargett

Hargett, Harold Conrad - Beloved husband of 63 years to Elaine Hargett; Devoted father of the late Harold R. "Randy" Hargett; Greg (Jennifer) Hargett; Connie (the late Roger) Smith; Caring grandfather of Genesis (Olivia) Hargett, Bradley Smith, Ali (Bryan) Tyler, and Jackson Hargett; Great grandfather of Gregory, Alexander, Winter, and the late Jacob; Loving son of the late Harold T. Hargett and the late Elizabeth Hargett (nee Prigge); Dear brother of the late Daisy (Howard) Ball; Uncle to Regina (Harold Joe) Fugate. The family would like to give special thanks to Michelle Lay who provided loving care to both Harold and Elaine over the past year.

Harold met his wife as a teenager at the Clermont County Fair. Attending the Fair with their children later became an annual tradition. Harold worked hard to provide for his family. He was an electrician and longtime member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). A serious workplace injury caused his early retirement. He endured many back surgeries and suffered pain for the last couple of decades that significantly limited his activities.

Harold was a gearhead before that term even existed. Among his prized possessions were his 1950 Harley Davidson Hog and his father's 1962 Chrysler 300. He loved when he could tinker and work on his vehicles.

Harold passed away Saturday, February 24, at the age of 81. He grew up in New Richmond and was a longtime resident of Milford, Ohio. Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home - Milford, 741 Center Street, Milford, OH 45150 on Friday, March 1, 2023, from 12:30 - 1:30 PM followed immediately by Funeral service. Burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
