With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Hattie M. Marshall, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on May 9, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on January 24, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Hattie spent her life filled with joy, laughter, and love, making her home in Milford, Ohio.
Hattie was the proud matriarch of her family, cherished by her children: Bob (Linda) Fite, Mike (Linda) Fite, Jeff Fite, Vicki (Dan) Criscillis, Pam (Jim) Apgar, Tracy (James) Garnett, and Aurbie Lamb Jr. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought a special sparkle to her life.
An avid fan of dancing and a devoted Elvis enthusiast, Hattie brightened every room with her infectious spirit. She loved playing games and cards, and bowling was one of her favorite ways to bond with family. Cookouts brought everyone together, where her laughter and warmth filled the air. A proud supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, Hattie's spirited cheers could always be heard during game days.
To honor Hattie's life, a funeral service will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on May 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to join us for visitation on May 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Following the service, Hattie will be laid to rest at 11:00 AM at the Graceland Memorial Gardens, located at 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, Ohio.
While we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in our memories of her kindness, laughter, and the countless ways she touched our lives. Rest in peace, dear Hattie. Your love will continue to shine through us all.
Hattie was preceded in death by parents Aurbie & Maude Lamb, husband Alfred Marshall, and sisters JoAnn Anderson & Nancy Gantzer and grandson Jeffrey Fite.
Memorial may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati or the American Heart Association.
