Herbert John Rein

Herbert J. Rein beloved husband of 60 years to Irene Rein (nee Sprunger); loving father of David (Lora) Rein and Jerry (Diana) Rein; uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister; Gaylord Rein, William Rein, Bob Rein, Nora Scheiner, and Charlie Rein. He will be dearly missed by his church family at Faith Bible Church where he attended for many years. Herb graduated from Owensville High School in 1935 and then joined the United States Navy where he served in World War II from 1942 until 1945. He worked as an electrician at the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority for many decades until he retired in 1979. Herb enjoyed gardening and woodworking in his spare time. Herb went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 7, 2022 at the age of 105. Visitation will be held at Faith Bible Church, 8130 E Kemper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249 on Friday March 11, 2022 at 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens, 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, OH.
