Hillary "Mick" Evans - Age 82, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving children, Ken (Judy) Evans, Kim (Joe) Woodall, Karen Evans, on April 21, 2022. He was preceded in death, eleven months exactly, by the love of his life, Betty (Cox) Evans, May 21,2021. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on June 22, 1939, to *William and *Ethel (Cheek) Evans. Mick grew up with three brothers: Curtis (*Shirley) Evans, *Ray (*Marilyn) Evans and *Wade (Charlotte) Evans. He also grew up with three sisters: Patsy Clark, Dana "Sue" (*Sam) Kiser and *Nannie (*Joe) Patterson. He is also survived by his very caring and loving nephews Terry (Kendra) Evans, Gary (Sandy) Patterson and Ray (Elaine) Patterson. Mick graduated from Goshen High School Class of 1957, where he met the very beautiful and fun loving, Betty Cox. They were high school sweethearts and were married June 21, 1958, 63 years until her death. Mick served in the Army 1958 and 1959 where he was a Military Personnel and Administrative Assistant, stationed in Texas. He then returned home and became a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners of Cincinnati. He began traveling to install Olympic pools (he also installed Miami Hills Swim Club), then became a brick layer (he built the house we lived in) and then took a job as Plant Maintenance for United Dairy Farmers for 38 years, until he retired to enjoy golfing, golfing and more golfing. He actually had 2 holes in one on two different courses, which is a rare feat. We were all very proud of him Mick was also the proud papaw to four grandchildren, Bethany Evans, Nick (Ashley) Evans, Hillary (Ryan) Mummert, Hannah (Alex Barlow) Woodall. He was also great papaw to K.J. Evans. He spent life spoiling all and family time was most important to him. He taught his family how to love, be kind and enjoy life's moments. His karaoke skills, singing his favorite artist Elvis, was priceless and his family holiday toasts were epic and came straight from his big heart. Mick did his job here and was a servant of others, better than God could have ever asked him to do. He was an awesome, gentle, hard working man, full of love and kindness. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. When we think of him, we will smile knowing he is finally reunited with mom in heaven. They had a love that we could all learn from, God blessed us by choosing them as our parents. Thanks for teaching us the importance of kindness and how important it is in our daily life. We will always remember "Acts of kindness have the potential to make the world a happier place". A Celebration of life will be at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford, Ohio 45150.
