Homer Turner

November 14, 1921 — July 11, 2016

Homer Turner was born in a log cabin on Cow Creek, KY to parents Benton Turner & Emma Baker on November 14, 1921. He is survived by his wife of almost 8 yrs., Kathey (Dudley) Turner, 2 children, 3 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren, a brother and 2 sisters. Preceding him in death were his first wife of 66 yrs, Phiona (Helton) Turner, 2 brothers, 2 sisters & 1 grandchild. Homer grew up on a farm in Winchester, KY, later moving to Cincinnati where he retired from B & O Railroad after 35 yrs. Baptized in 1949 at Walnut Hills church of Christ, he later attended Norwood church of Christ with his family, where he served as an elder. The family moved to Milford later, worshipping with the church of Christ there for many years until the passing of his first wife Phiona in 2007. Upon his re-marriage to Kathey Dudley on August 30, 2008, the couple resided in Liberty Township, OH, as members of the Northeast church of Christ, until he went home to his Lord on July 11, 2016. Homer was a wonderful example of a Christian man who was dearly loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
