It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jack Carson Dooley Jr., aged 69, of Goshen, Ohio, on July 3, 2026. Born on December 14, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Jack C. Dooley Sr. and Helen Jeanine Croley. Jack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who dedicated his life to those he loved.
Jack spent many fulfilling years working as a carpenter in the construction industry, employing his skills with Stephen Gross & Sons. His passion for the craft was matched only by his devotion to his family and community. Jack was a faithful member of the Goshen Church of Christ. His kindness and generosity were evident in every aspect of his life. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand and his ability to make anyone feel welcome.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Jack found joy in the outdoors, often regaling loved ones with stories of his adventures. His zest for life was infectious, and his witty humor lit up the room. Known affectionately as "Pa" by those close to him, he created lasting memories during Friday night family dinners, a cherished tradition that brought everyone together.
Jack was the beloved husband of 50 years to Debbie Dooley (nee Nicely); Cherished son of Helen Jeanine Dooley; Loving father of Jillian (Kevin) Brown and Jeremy (Karla) Dooley; Dear Pa of Colton Brown, Carson Brown, Cooper Brown, Chestin Brown, Gabriel Dooley, and Kathlynn Dooley; Brother of Ruth Ferguson, Elizabeth Raymond, Kenneth Dooley, David Dooley, and Anthony Dooley. Jack is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his father Jack Carson Dooley Sr., and his sister Helen Jeanine Spade.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, at Evans Funeral Home - Goshen. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM. We encourage all who knew Jack to join us in celebrating a life well-lived and a heart that touched so many.
