James Matthew Hutchinson

James Matthew Hutchinson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on September 24, 1976, in Georgetown, Ohio, Matt was a lifelong resident of the area and nurtured deep connections to his community, family, and the land.

Matt's hobbies reflected his vibrant spirit. He enjoyed tending to his yard, where he found peace in the simple joys of picking berries and nurturing his garden. An exceptional cook and baker, his culinary creations often brought family and friends together around the table, filling homes with warmth and laughter. His love of playing softball, bowling and golf knew no bounds.

His passion for agriculture was evident in his deep involvement with the Future Farmers of America and 4-H, where he devoted much of his time to mentoring young minds and supporting local county fairs. Matt's love for animals and the land left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kemberly Hutchinson, and his cherished children, Myranda Hutchinson, Daryll Proud, and Michael Proud, grandchildren, Melody, Ashton and Chloe, his father Eugene James Hutchinson, three sisters, Rachel (Norris) Carpenter, Tracey (Jeff) Carroll and Rebecca Neal, and a brother, Doug Neal, along with a network of Nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins as well as friends and relatives who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his mother Esther Hutchinson.

The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Goshen, on Monday, September 15th from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held in celebration of Matt's life, on Tuesday, beginning at 11 AM. The burial will immediately follow at Goshen Cemetery.

In honoring Matt's legacy, let us remember his infectious smile, his unwavering devotion to family, and his passion for life. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
