James Mann

It is with immense sadness that the family of Reverend James Mann Sr is announcing his passing at the age of 84. James was born to Estill and Helen Mann on March 15, 1939, and passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 4, 2024.

He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Marie Mann. James will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by countless friends and family, for his many accomplishments throughout his life.

James was born in Tip Top, Kentucky. After marrying Marie on July 16, 1958, they moved to the Clinton County Ohio area to start their life and family. James enjoyed a long career at CCPI. Throughout his life his passion and joy were found in raising his family and sharing his love for God as a dedicated reverend.

James is survived by his children and their spouses, Connie Miller, Sandie (Lane) Taylor, James (Kelly) Mann Jr, and Rick (Leigh Ann) Mann; his 11 grandchildren and their spouses Ryan Lyons, Kristen (Curtis) Reese, Chad (Desiree) Lyons, Stephanie (Brandon) Leonard, Lyndi (Daniel) Salsbury, Amanda (Chris) Robinson, Zachary (Allysen) Mann, Schylar Mann, Amber Miller, Danika Mann, and Griffin Mann; 5 step grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; his siblings Arthur (Stella) Mann, Melvin (Daisy) Mann, Darell (Diane) Mann, Deborah (the late Jim) Mitchell, Theresa (Jerry) Jones; and many other friends and family.

James has joined the following family in heaven: his loving wife of 59 years Marie Mann; parents Estill and Helen Mann; sister Shirley (Winfred) Lykins; brother Estill (surviving Candy) Mann Jr.

Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home - Goshen, 1944 State Route 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122, on Wednesday January 10, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday January 11, 2024, beginning at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at the Blanchester IOOF Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
