James (Jim) Michael McCord Jr. January 9, 1957 – February 7, 2022 (65) On the morning of February 7, 2022, Jim passed away after an eight-year battle with Early-Onset Alzheimer's while being attended by staff members at Hyde Park Nursing Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jim was 65 years old. Jim McCord was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 9th, 1957. He was the oldest of three children, of Lois and Jim McCord Sr. Jim moved into his house in Fairfax at the age of 2 and never left. He was a playful kid that grew into a playful, hardworking man. He worked at Dover Elevator and Lighthouse Youth Services. Jim could also be seen all over town, running his landscaping business. He drove through town as if he were in a parade; waving and smiling at everyone he passed. He found joy in lifting weights, being in the sun, and hanging with friends and family. Jim lived every day, of each year, looking forward to his week-long camping trip with his closest friends and family. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Lois McCord. He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Marsha McCord; his children Erin (Albert) Champion, Josh (Kara) McCord, Lindsay (Eric Schumacher) McCord; his grandkids, Ajia McCord, Lilly McCord, Jack McCord, Audrey Champion, and Liam Champion; his father Jim McCord Sr.; his siblings Tim (Rhonda) McCord and Kim (Pat) Rowe: several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio on 2/10/22 from 11 am to 12 am followed by a memorial service from 12 pm to 1 pm. A graveside service for friends and family will be at Rest Haven in Blue Ash, Ohio starting at 2:30 pm. Donations can be made in Jim’s name to Hospice of Cincinnati at: hospiceofcincinnati.org/donate/
