James Francis Meyer

James Francis Meyer, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, surrounded with much love and his family. Jim was born on June 28, 1937, to Raymond and Madeline Meyer (nee Muenchen). He was a graduate of Purcell High School, attended Xavier University and graduated from University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. He was proud to say he took a real estate course at Harvard University. Jim married the love of his life, Mary Ann “Rennie” Meyer (nee Foley) on December 28, 1963. He had a successful career, working as a sales manager for multiple radio stations, in both the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. Jim was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond, and Madeline Meyer (nee Muenchen), and his brother, Raymond Meyer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Mary Ann “Rennie” Meyer (nee Foley), their seven children, Michelle Meyer, James Meyer, William Meyer, Lisa Meyer, Thomas (Marcella) Meyer, Tami (Robert) Beattie, and Bridget Meyer; grandchildren, Courtney (Derek) Boyd, Brittney Lovdal, Zachary Williams, Kyle Williams, Andrew Williams, Paige Meyer, Sean (Samantha) Cameron, Kiley (Samuel) Sharpe, Liam Cameron, Landon Beattie, Grayson Meyer, and Jackson Meyer; great grandchild Hudson Boyd; brother, Bob (Kathy) Meyer.

Jim was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and will be greatly missed by many. The earth has lost the most amazing, thoughtful, caring, kindest, social, smartest, friendliest man that we were all lucky to know. He loved life, he loved people, he showed grace, he had patience. He was a family man, always wanting to make sure his family was okay. Jim’s legacy that he leaves behind is his contagious smile that will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew him.

Family, friends, and others whose lives that Jim touched are invited to his visitation at John H. Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St. Milford, Ohio 45150, on Thursday November 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 552 Main St., Milford, Ohio 45150 Friday November 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.  Following the burial, everyone is invited for a reception at the Leming House 5951 Buckwheat Road Milford, Ohio 45150.
