James F. Otoole

James F. O'Toole, 68, died May 20, 2018 of pancreatic cancer. A beloved son of the late Ellen and Joseph O'Toole, Jim was born December 23, 1949 in Arlington, MA but moved to Mt. Lookout with his family at a young age. Predeceased by his oldest brother, David in 2014, he is survived by his siblings John (Ann Livingston) and Peter (Mary), all of Cincinnati, and Martha Magnan (William) of Norfolk, VA. He was the proud uncle of Amy O'Toole (Santiago, Chile), Lauren and Sabine O'Toole (Seattle, WA), Joe, Brian and Mary Ellen O'Toole (Cincinnati), Anne Magnan (Lander, WY), PJ Magnan (Portsmouth, VA) and Brenden Holland (Norfolk, VA). A 1968 graduate of St. Xavier High School, Jim was also a US Army veteran and served as a radio operator in the district of Xuan Loc in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam from January 1971 to January 1972. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2014 after 25 years of employment. A Memorial Mass will be held on July 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church in Mt. Washington. Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a later date.
