James R. Poynter

James R. Poynter, age 68, of Milford passed early morning on April 19, 2015 at his residence in Milford. He was born May 3, 1946 in Bethel, the son of Jack and Margaret (Norris) Poynter. He was a Veteran of the US Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era and a Maintenance Supervisor for approximately 15 years at Maple Knoll Village. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Wiegand, children, Christina "Page" Poynter, Carey Rich, Mary Johnson, Christopher Poynter, Melissa Haggard, Robin White, Venessa Boher, and Lendsey Pennington, 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Jackie Finch and Juanita "Elaine" Emmick, and brother, Joe Poynter. He is preceeded in death by sisters, Jenny, Julie, and Jeanine. Services will be 3:00PM Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford with visitation starting at 1:00PM. His brother, Joe Poynter will officiate.
