James Courtney Sauter

Sauter, James C. - 86, of Terrace Park, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Elizabeth Ward and Benjamin Courtney Sauter. Beloved husband of Jill Hillen Sauter; Devoted father of Cynthia (James) Mabry, Betsy (Tom) Santen, James Stephen (Piper) Sauter, and Susan (Chris) Mahony. Dear grandfather of Philip and George Mabry; Matthew and Margaret Santen; Courtney, Peter and Jill Mahony; Jimmy, Mattie, and Thomas Sauter. Jim was a graduate of Louisville Male High School, attended the University of Kentucky, then enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War. He received his degree from the University of Louisville and began a fifty- year business career in the chemical coatings industry. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Old Armstrong Chapel with a reception following the service in the atrium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Armstrong Chapel or Armstrong Chapel Whiz Kids.
