James “Russ” Russell Sears

James Russell "Russ" Sears, age 82 of Blanchester, passed away August 27, 2021 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery. He was born February 7, 1939 in Somerset, Kentucky the son of Coy Mason and June (nee Farmer) Sears. He was a 4 year Veteran of the U.S. Airforce, being discharged in January 1960. On June 4, 1960 he married his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Wellman Sears, who survives, along with their children and spouses; Russell Lee & Pamela Sears, Deborah Ann Thomas, and Randall Alan & Beth Sears, grandchildren and spouses; Joshua James & Laura Sears, Emily Ann & Justin Jones, Kyle Aaron & Joanne Sears, Ian James Thomas and Kam Elise Thomas, great grandchildren; Layla, Noah, Evie and Jet. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister; Joyce. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford with his service at 9:30 AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021. His burial with military honors will be in the Graceland Memorial Gardens, on Deerfield Rd. in Miami Township. His family requests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
