James Hollis Wood, known to his loved ones as Jim, was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 28, 1941. He peacefully passed away on November 15, 2024, in Milford, OH.
Fondly remembered as a man of many talents, Jim served in the US Army 101st Airborne Division and reached the rank of E-3. His love for golf was unmatched, spending countless hours perfecting his swing on the green. An avid collector, Jim had a passion for model cars and enjoyed the elegance of horses.
After earning his Associate's Degree, Jim pursued a career as a C.P.A before transitioning to become a Chief Building Engineer in the commercial property management industry. While living in Texas, he efficiently managed three commercial buildings, showcasing his dedication and professionalism.
Jim is survived by his beloved spouse Janice Wood, sons Jim (Suzanne) Wood and Rob (Dara) Wood, step daughters Tonia (late Steve) Mitchell and Sharon (Patrick Carter) Matson. Brother Richard (Brenda) Wood, sister Carol (Michael) Delaney, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
James was preceded in death by parents Hollis & Mary Wood (nee Timberman) and son-in-law Steve Mitchell.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, no services will be held. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace
