Jane Kneipp, beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on December 19, 1931, in High Point, North Carolina, she was a proud resident of Batavia, Ohio, where she nurtured her family and cultivated deep-rooted connections in her community. Jane was the devoted wife of Edward S. Kneipp, whom she married December 20, 1986, her steadfast companion through the highs and lows of life. Together, they built a family that would come to mean the world to her. Jane is survived by her children, Cynthia (BJ Johnson) Rae Mollett, Karen Marie Kneipp, Michael Scott (Cindy Lou) Fulp, Amy Lynn (Mark) Chaffin. Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren: Charles Lynn (Jennifer) Gray, Danielle Courtney (Zach) Fulp Zagar, Kevin Michael (Sarah) Chaffin, Logan Edward (Caroline) Chaffin, Maxwell Allen Chaffin and her great-grandchildren, Chandler (Kaysee), Simon, Mallory, Paisley, Catlynn, and another on the way.
A proud member of Eastgate Baptist Church, Jane found boundless joy in her faith and loved the Lord deeply. Her kindness and warmth radiated through every aspect of her life, creating an environment where family flourished. Sitting on the front porch, she savored the simple pleasure of watching the world go by, greeting neighbors with a smile that reflected her generous heart. Spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids was her greatest joy, each hug infused with the love that characterized her every interaction. Jane had a special fondness for activities that brought her happiness, including playing BINGO and indulging in breakfast outings that elicited her warmest laughter. With her signature style—always ensuring her lipstick was just right—she approached life with a love and warmth that inspired those around her. A visitation to honor Jane’s life will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on January 8, 2025, from 5-7PM. Friends and family are invited to share in memories, laughter, and love as they celebrate the beautiful spirit that was Jane Kneipp. Her loving kindness, her unwavering faith, and her infectious smile will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Jane was preceded in death by: her parents Grover and Elsie Hudson and sister Rose H. Gray.
