Wife of the late Delas Delana Earles,

Dear mother to Jean (the late Frank) Kroger, Steve (Joan) Earles, Dale (Tammy) Earles, Susan (Bernie) Kremer, Judy (the late Ron) Webber, Karen (the late Terry) Frey, Nancy (Butch) Tate, the late Scott (Michele) Earles, Roger (Heather) Earles and Shirley (Chris) Borke. Grandma to 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Aunt Janet to Ronda, Dean, Kathy, Lisa, Edward, Tony and Rob.

Born in Lewis County, KY on 8/24/1937.

Daughter of the late Jarvis (Jarvey) Jackson Brown and the late Beulah Pansy Brown (née Chaney).

Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenny (Barb) and James (Cora) Brown and 3 sisters, Helen (James) Fannin, Carolyn (Lou) Rutherford and her identical twin, Janice (Dave) Stamper.

Janet was a clerk at Western/Southern after high school and when she met Delas in 1977 she became an instant mom to 10 children. Janet devoted her life to the Lord and served in the church in many ways. She sang in the choir and performed solos, led VBS, taught Sunday School and served in countless other ways. The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Janet. She loved bluegrass music, a quiet evening of reading (mainly her Bible) and doing her puzzles. She also loved spending time in her garden, the kitchen canning those home grown vegetables and creating delicious meals for her family. Janet was an avid crafter, making rag rugs, cross stitch samplers, quilts, homemade dolls and many other things. Her talents were endless. Her gentle spirit and kind heart will be greatly missed.
