Jaunita V Pitman

Jaunita V. Pitman, a beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma and sister passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on March 17, 1933, in Somerset, Kentucky, Jaunita embodied the spirit of warmth, love, and kindness throughout her life.

Growing up in a simpler time, Jaunita completed her education with an eighth-grade level but never let that hinder her determination and work ethic. For many years, she labored in the paper industry, giving her all to her job and never shying away from hard work.

Jaunita found her greatest joy in family, particularly cherishing her moments spent with her sons, Michael Sr. and Ron Ping and her grandchildren - Michael (Emma) Ping Jr., Melodee Faith Ping, Miranda Ping, Adam (Ashley) Ping, She was also blessed to have several great-grandchildren, including Emma, Ethan, Eliza, Waylon, and Willa, whom she loved dearly.

An avid gardener, Jaunita took great pride in her flowers and plants, often sharing the fruits of her labor with many friends. She also had a profound love for fishing and looked forward to peaceful days spent by the water. Sundays at Life Change Church were a highlight for Jaunita; her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she cherished every moment shared with her church family.

Jaunita was a fabulous cook and baker, known for her delicious meals and treats that brought everyone together around the table, where laughter and stories flowed as freely as the food.

She is survived by her son Michael (Juree) Ping Sr., and her cherished sisters Betty Taylor, Phyllis Staley, Kay Edwards, Shirley Stewart, Vicki Richardson, Dale Tomlinson and The Ayres family.

Life change church will hold Jaunita's celebration of life Wed. February 12, 2025 Visitation starts 11:00 AM with service 12:30 PM. Graveside 1:30 PM -Myers Cemetery, Goshen. Ohio.

Jaunita was preceded in death by husbands W.L. Ping & Willard Pitman, parents Melvin & Noral Tomlinson, son Ronald (Charlotte) Ping, daughter Sandra Ping, granddaughter Melodee Ping, brother Jack Brown, sister Ruby Meece and Wilma Jean.
