Jawuina Faye Clark

January 19, 1935 — November 11, 2019

Jawuina Faye (Hickey) Clark, was born on January 19, 1935 and went home to be with her Lord
on November 11, 2019 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and
Ollie Hickey and her beloved husband, Castler Lee Clark. She was dearly loved by her five
children, Debbie Sturgill, Carol Flack, David Clark, Timothy Clark and Michael Clark and their
spouses. She will be greatly missed by her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
and all of her family and friends who knew and loved her.
Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God and loved her Lord and Savior.
One of her favorite sayings was God Is Faithful, despite whatever she encountered in life. She
was saved at Vacation Bible School when she was 11 years old Her sense of humor started
early in life as she was bribed to sing and her 1st church solo when she was younger she sang
Pistol Packin Mama. She served in the church many years and impacted the lives of countless
teenagers both in church and outside of it. She was an accomplished seamstress, cake
decorator and kitchen gadget and appliance collector. She also loved to cook for everyone and
grocery shopping was her hobby.
A Celebration of Life service for her will be held on Thursday, November 14th at 7:30 pm at
Vessel United Church located at 6830 School Street, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45244. (The church
behind Miami Valley Christian Academy) She will be laid to rest on Friday, November 15, at
11:15 at the Dayton National Cemetery. Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio to handle
arrangements.
