Jearl Dean Cromer, age 90, passed away peacefully at the Veterans Home in Georgetown,
Ohio 6/28/2023. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky to Edney and Lucretia (Rash) Cromer. He
is survived by his daughter-in-law Tami Cromer, grandchildren Anthony Conway, Kelsey
(Michael) Rosales and Elise Strickland. Sister-in-laws, June Burton, Billie Burton, Ruth (WA)
Owens and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years
Berniece (Burton) Cromer, his son Derwin Cromer, siblings Wanda Hood, Lester Cromer, Joe
Cromer, Ed Cromer, Ina Bullock, Lina Dilbert, Essie Payne and Dessie Bullock.
As a young man Jearl served his country in the Army during the Korean war.
He was a faithful, active member of Goshen Church of Christ. We take comfort knowing he is
resting in the arms of Jesus and reunited with Berniece and Derwin. Jearl was a kind and loving
person and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He lived life to the fullest,
enjoying simple pleasures. He was quick-witted, always joking, smiling and eager to help others!
Jearl's family would like to extend gratitude to the Veterans Home in Georgetown for the
excellent care he received.
Visitation will be held at Evans funeral Home 1944 State Rt. 28 Goshen, Ohio on Monday, July
10th 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A graveside ceremony will be held Tuesday, July 11th at
Fairview Church of Christ cemetery, 213 Old Bandy Rd., Brodhead, Kentucky at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
