Jeffery Hensley

It is with sincere regret that we announce the passing of Jeffery Lee Hensley, a respected husband, father, grandfather, mechanic, educator, and friend. Mr. Hensley passed away unexpectedly on September 21st, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on November 9, 1959, he maintained strong ties to Manchester, KY throughout his life.

In addition to his accomplished career as a mechanic, Jeff was dedicated to continuous learning, which led to numerous achievements, including sharing his expertise with others. His passion for education and learning was evident through his tenure teaching auto mechanics at the Oaks and his certification as a licensed pyrotechnician.

Jeff loved his family, his country, and his cars. Since his retirement, he enjoyed tending to his garden and reflecting on previous life experiences. His patience, dry sense of humor, and sharp wit earned him the respect and admiration of those around him.

Above all else, Jeff was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by; his loving wife of 47 years, Debra Hensley; his pride and joy, daughter Becky Levins (Chad) and granddaughter, Morgan Levins. He will also be remembered lovingly by his sister, Angela Calhoun (Jeff) and Mother Billie Hensley.

Jeff's life was a testament to being a lifelong learner and a formidable presence in the lives of those who knew him. He will be missed dearly, but his legacy of love, laughter, and learning will continue on through those he cherished.

Funeral services to celebrate Jeff's life will be held at Evans Funeral Home on September 30th from 6-7pm. Where we invite friends and family to gather and share memories, stories, and laughter. In the meantime, we invite you to reflect on the memories made with Jeff and carry his spirit with you always.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his father George Hensley.
