It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl "Jerry" Ritter, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and community leader, who left this world peacefully on December 13, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on February 28, 1956, in Wilmington, OH, to the late Carl E. and Ada M. (nee Adams) Ritter.

Jerry was deeply devoted to his family, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, Vickie, their children, and their grandchildren. He was an exceptional athlete in his youth, earning the title of all-time high scoring basketball player during his time at Clermont Northeastern. His love for the game endured as he not only played basketball with his children and grandchildren but also coached their teams, inspiring them to reach for excellence, instilling in them the values of hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Jerry proudly cheered for The Ohio State University football team and the Cincinnati Bengals. Additionally, Jerry found joy in riding his cherished Harley-Davidson motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road.

As the owner and operator of Jerry Ritter Trucking since 1979, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to hard work, believing that success comes from perseverance and determination.

His leadership extended beyond his business; Jerry served as a Wayne Township Trustee for many years, making a significant impact in his community. Jerry was an influential presence in the lives of his loved ones and friends.
