Jim Woody

James "Jim" Alvin Woody, 62, of Pleasant Plain and formerly of Milford, passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2019. He was born on October 4, 1957 in Cincinnati to the late Clarence and Shirley (nee Sweet) Woody. He was the widower of the late Lavonna L. (nee Whitaker) Woody. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Woody and sister, Nancy Frank.

Jim was a big time Bocce player. He had won several tournaments while he lived in Key West. Jim was a huge arrow head collector and loved rappelling, cave diving, rock climbing, scuba diving and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Jason (Jamie Koepp) Woody, Rebecca (Jason) Jester and their mother, Sandra Woody; grandchildren, Destiny (Derek) Peters, Chase, Hunter, Jade and Aiden Jester, Kayla and Brayden Woody; great grandchild, Carter Peters; siblings, Shirley Reece, Johnny Woody, Leah Woods and Donna Woody.

Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford on Friday December 13, 2019 from 6:00 PM until Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
