Joan Ballard

Joan Ballard was born January 8, 1936, to the late John and Margaret (nee Vetter) Mabley. Beloved wife of 62 years to the late James W. Ballard Sr.; Loving mother of John Michael Ballard Sr.; Kenneth Russell Ballard, and two late sons James W. Ballard Jr. and Donald Marty Ballard; Cherished grandma of John Michael Ballard Jr., Billie Michelle, Rebecca Lin, Carrie Danielle, and Brandon Seth; Great-grandmother of 9 and the late Michael Douglas Ballard; Great-great-grandmother of 3; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Joan is also preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Joan was a family-oriented woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and her grandchildren. She loved to pass the time by paying games with her family, such as various card games, Yahtzee, and bingo. Joan will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Joan passed away March 3, 2024, at the age of 88. Resident of Blanchester, OH. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home - 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122, beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Harlan township.
