Joan Elaine Baston

Joan Elaine Baston, a beloved sister, friend, and dedicated member of her community, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on August 25, 2026, in her home in Milford, Ohio. Born on September 10, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Joan's radiant spirit and generous heart touched all who knew her.

Joan will be remembered for her infectious sense of humor and her ability to connect with anyone, never meeting a stranger. Her warmth and kindness made her a cherished figure in the lives of many, as she continually offered her support and love to family, friends, and anyone in need. She dedicated her life to her work as a housekeeper for the Lunken family, where her unwavering dedication was a testament to her strong work ethic.

A gifted pianist, Joan found joy in music and often shared her passion by playing for family gatherings and community events. Her bond with her sister, Janet Wilmink, was especially strong, and together they shared countless cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of those who knew them.

Joan leaves behind her sister Janet Wilmink and many cousins and a legacy of love and charity that will not be forgotten. She was preceded in death by: her parents Emerson and Athyme Baston.

Family and friends are invited to join in a graveside service to honor Joan's life on September 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford. We will gather to celebrate a remarkable woman who brought joy to many lives, remembering her for the beautiful tunes she played, the laughter she shared, and the charity she embraced.
