With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Edmund Armstrong, Jr., a beloved friend, dedicated family member, and master plasterer, who left us peacefully at the age of 91 on June 21, 2026 in the Ohio Veterans Home, Georgetown. Born on April 18, 1935, in Branch Hill, Ohio, John lived a life rich with stories and experiences that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, enlisting on September 8, 1954, and achieving the rank of Airman First Class before being discharged in 1958. His service shaped not just his character but also his perspective on life, instilling a deep sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried into all his endeavors.
A master plasterer by trade, John was known for his skilled craftsmanship and unwavering dedication to his work. He took great pride in building and creating, leaving a lasting mark on the community through his artistry in plastering.
Outside of work, John had a zest for life that was infectious. He enjoyed spending quiet moments farming, and many cherished memories were made while hunting and fishing with friends and family. His love for the great outdoors brought him peace and joy, and he will be remembered fondly for his stories of outdoor adventures.
John is survived by his loving niece, Dina (Jerry) Clark and great nephew Tyler Armstrong Clark, who held a special place in his heart His warmth and genuine spirit touched many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. John was preceded in death by: his parents John Armstrong, Sr. and Leila Kocis, brother and sister-in-law Robert (Jacqueline) Armstrong
In honor of John's life, a graveside service will be held on June 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, located at 234 Center Street, Loveland, OH. We invite all friends and family to join us in celebrating John's remarkable journey and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, John. You will always be remembered for your unwavering spirit, your love for laughter, and the kindness you shared with everyone around you.
