John Beck

John W. Beck, beloved husband of Judy Dietz Beck, devoted father of Mike Beck, Kathy (Rick) Steffen and Dan (Amy) Beck, loving grandfather of Lisa, Eric, Jeffrey, Emma, Aria, Abram, Connor, Tyler and Nicole, dear brother of Robert (Myrtie) Beck, also survived by loving nieces, nephews and a host of friends. John passed to eternal life on May 21, 2018 after a long and determined battle with heart and lung disease.

John was a marine who served in Japan after the Korean War and after leaving the marines, he was a plumber for over thirty years. While raising his family with his devoted wife of over 54 years, Judy, many days were spent at a baseball field. He either played or coached for more than fifty years, passing down his love of the game to his children and grandchildren. Later in life, he found a love for the game of golf and enjoyed many days at Friendly Meadows Golf Course where he was a Ranger. He also enjoyed playing with many friends, his brother and his grandson. He will be remembered and missed by many family and friends.

Family will receive friends at St. Joseph Church, Cold Springs, Ky on Saturday, May 26th from 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 AM.
