John Wayne Burke, beloved husband of Candace Burke, devoted father of Bronwyn (Brian) Felts, Calib James Miller, Crystal (Jason) White, Kelly Books, Ian Miller, Kim (Tim) Proffitt, Sinjen (Cassandra) Miller and Tim (Teresa) Burke, loving grandfather of Aidan, Ashton, Avery, Cade, Chandler, Colt, Cooper, Erik, Hunter, Jaxson, Jocelyn, Kinley, Kiefer, Kristine, Kyle, Layla, Marie, McKenzie, Nathan, Nevaeh, Ricky, Shelby, Skylar, Tiffany, Travis, Xander and the late Ariana Faith Burke, dear brother of Janice (late John) Foster, Stanley (Tressa) Burke and James (Denise) Burke. Passed away on April 20, 2023 at the age of 73.

Faith, Family, & Fellowship, the ties that bind, that is the life and legacy of John Wayne Burke. He loved God, his wife, his family, America, and the Kentucky wildcats. John served in the US Army in Vietnam and worked hard his entire life. Beyond his family, JB also loved his coworkers: “the guys at the shop”. His favorite activity was getting together to enjoy good food, better company, and the sweetest of treats. John had the bluest eyes, was a consummate sportsman, and a beautiful speaking voice. He also possessed a soulful singing voice which he shared through the gift of song. John's also leaves a legacy of unconditional love. His selfless nature and unwavering faith will be a compass to all who were blessed to know him. To the world John was a simple, humble, and generous servant of god, yet he was a Prince among men to his family.

A memorial service will be held at the Blanchester Senior Center, 707 Middleboro Rd, Blanchester, Ohio 45107 on April 30th at 2:15 PM with a celebration of life immediately following.
