John Frederick Fenner, age 75, of Blanchester, Ohio passed away December 27, 2020 at The Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
He was born on September 11, 1945 to Herbert and Freda (nee Vance) Fenner. He is a 1963 graduate of Blanchester High School and a member of the New Vienna Community Church. and the Blanchester American Legion. At the young age of 17, John F. Fenner, enlisted in the United States Army. After a few months, he switched branches to join The United States Navy where he served his country during the Vietnam Era. After his active duty term was completed, he then served The United States Naval Reserve for several years.. He worked at General Electric for 15 years and was a Pipefitter and an Electrician until he retired years later. John was the loving father of John V. Fenner (Chirelle), Denise D. Fath (Joe), Heather M. Avedisian, Heidi L. Aveidisian and the late Amy Fenner.. He was the grandfather to 8 and a great-grandfather to 10, dear brother of the late Shirley Tunks, the late Barbara Gregory, George Fenner (Marilyn), Pat Fenner (Candy), and Tom Fenner. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 4, 2021, at Evans Funeral Home, 1944 SR 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122. Visitation to begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery with military honors provided by the Blanchester American Legion. Reverend Dan Mayo will officate. His family requests memorials, in his honor be made to The Laurels of Blanchester, 839 Cherry St, Blanchester, OH 45107.
