John Calhoun Haynes

John Calhoun Haynes was born on March 4, 1947, to the late Samuel and Elizabeth (nee Hall) Haynes, in Cincinnati, OH.

John was the loving father of Tammy (Steve) Alexander and Laura (Rod) Hutchinson; Dear grandfather of Corey (Samantha) Burns, Kyndall (Robert) Deyo, Dakota (Brittany) Burns, Stevie (Brittany) Alexander, Kevin Alexander, Kristina Alexander, Eric Alexander, Maeghan Donahoe, and C.J. Alexander; Great-grandfather of 14; Brother of Betty, Elaine, Patricia, and Connie. John is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers Ned, William, and George.

John was a soft spoken, kind, caring, and loving man. He served his community for many years as a paramedic with the Goshen Township Fire Department and also served his country in the United States Army. John enjoyed going out on his boat, riding snowmobiles in Wisconsin, and listening to country music, especially Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffet. John will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

John passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 77. Resident of Byrdstown, TN. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Evans Funeral Home - 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery - 11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246.
