John Page Haynes Jr., 85, of New Richmond, Ohio

John Page Haynes Jr., 85, passed away peacefully on December 24th. He leaves a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and unwavering faith. Born in Los Angeles, California, he grew up during a time of rapid change and carried an innovative spirit throughout his life. In the early days of the computer age, John built a long and respected career as a computer programmer and later as a computer analyst, embracing the technology long before it became a part of every day life.

John was a man who found joy in people. His favorite pastime was telling a joke to anyone who crossed his path, brightening days with his humor and easy smile. His faith guided him deeply, and he loved the church - serving as deacon, teaching Sunday school, and welcoming newcomers with genuine warmth. His service was never about recognition; it was simply who he was.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Haynes, his children Sandy Bronner, Tim Haynes, and Jennifer Haynes Willoughby, along with 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, John Page Haynes III, whom he now joins in eternal rest.

Visitation will be at 11:00 am with the funeral to follow at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Glen Este in Batavia, Ohio.

John's life touched many and his memory will continue to bring smiles, comfort, and inspiration to all who knew him.
