Chris Imbus was one of a kind. From early on, he had a sensitive and protective nature and he loved his family fiercely.  His early childhood years in Key West inspired his passion for everything water. While scuba diving was his love, throughout the years he also enjoyed water skiing, fishing, lobstering and boating. The water brought peace. During this time and thereafter, he was never without a German Shepherd or two by his side.

His entrepreneurship started at a young age by selling mudballs to his sister, Heidi, delivering newspapers, and working at a vegetable stand. Being a risk taker as a child, he kept his mother's nursing skills current. Chris started working for his dad, driving a bulldozer, at age thirteen. This was the beginning of his solid work ethic. Later, he started his own concrete business at the age of 18.

Years later, Chris was invited to work for his father to learn the development business. On the side he ran a car wash and hustled Christmas trees while attending the University of Cincinnati. He worked endlessly to support his new bundle of joy, JC. Under his dad's watchful eye, Chris rose through the ranks at Imbus Enterprises, not only as a concrete finisher but also a heavy equipment operator. Self-storage facilities became his niche and his segway into establishing numerous commercial developments, including car washes, quick lube businesses, warehouses, and many beautiful offices buildings.

As Chris settled into expanding these business ventures, he also laid the groundwork for building his family with Sarah.

Chris enjoyed teaching his son, Luke, at age 6, how to operate his heavy equipment, drive a boat, and to love music. Chris taught his little girl, Lucy, how to fish, to care for animals, and to live fearlessly. The family trips to Key West were full of adventure and gave memories that will be treasured forever.

His love was extended to all, for Chris had a welcoming smile, a generous heart, and a lively personality. With his faith and confidence in his abilities, whatever Chris set his mind to he was able to accomplish. While he will be tremendously missed by his family and friends, we know his loving spirit will be with us always.
