John Tharp Lawrence, Iii

John Tharp Lawrence III (Tad) died peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on December 10, 2018. He was a devoted Christian, son, brother, husband, father, friend, and grandfather who was selflessly committed to serving others and his community. He served on numerous boards and committees throughout the years, in addition to his job as Senior Vice President and Senior Institutional Consultant at UBS. Tad loved to play the piano, hunt, ride his motorcycle in his business suit, and was notoriously known as a THRILL seeker. The best and coolest gentleman around, we will always remember his famous words "It gets better and better all of the time."

Tad is survived by his wife, Susan; his four children, Lisa (Justin) Latici, Shannon (Preston) Comey, Ashley (Mark) Shelton, and John T. (Madeline) Lawrence IV; his 6 grandchildren; his mother Anne Ingalls Lawrence; and his siblings, Bobby, Perry, and Anne. He was preceded in death by his father John T. Lawrence Jr. and his sister Lisa Lawrence.
