John Wesley Long

John Wesley Long beloved husband of Carolyn (nee Murphy) Long; loving father of Kevin Worthington, Joseph (Susie) Worthington, Stephanie Kirby and Charles Wesley (Amy) Long II; Lou to Tabitha, Tatum, Sean, Olivia, Ian Patrick, Brendan, Mason, Maggie, Ruby Jane and Blake; dear brother of Jeanie Gundler and Margaret Cannava. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Sadie (nee Robinson) Long; and siblings, Charles Wesley Long (his twin) and Gracie Long. Went home to be with the Lord on Saturday December 14, 2019. Age 76. Residence Milford. John served in the US Army during Vietnam as a combat helicopter technician. He was a 5th grade teacher at Milford Schools for 32 years. John loved soccer and basketball. He was a loving and devoted family man and consummate teacher, impacting many lives. Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday December 21st from Noon to 4:00 PM at the Eastside Christian Church, 5874 Montclair Blvd., Milford, OH 45150. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to ON Goal Soccer, 920 Round Bottom Rd., Milford, OH 45150.
