MOON, John D. "Wayne" - Beloved husband of Virginia Moon (nee Stiles); Loving father of John L. Moon, Tiffany (Joseph) Smith, Carla J. (Patrick) Mahan, and Lori E. (Nick) Pizano; Dear grandfather of 14 grandchildren; John was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Moon (nee Irwin), and brothers Steve Moon and Fred Moon; John will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and by those who knew and loved him; He was member of American Legion Post in Rockmart, Georgia, a member of the Syrian Shrine; John had his own talk show on radio entitled " Ask the Handyman", and he wrote several articles in this field; He was a former police officer with Middletown, Clermont County Sheriff, Goshen Township, and Miami Township; John was an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church; He went to be with the Lord Saturday January 14, 2017 age 74 years Resident of Batavia; Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home - Goshen 1944 State Route 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122 Thursday January 19, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Graceland Memorial Gardens following; If so desired, memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church 4080 Afton Elklick Road, Batavia, Ohio 45103.
