Johnny A. Ayers Jr.

John "Johnny" A. Ayers, Jr. beloved father of John Kelly (Amy) Ayers; cherished grandfather of Evan and Logan Ayers, Camille and Clara Ortega; dear brother of Betty Sue Nayles, Martha Ann Adkins, Sammie Jo Jeffers, Patricia Jane Bryant, Marietta McCullah and Millard Michael Ayers; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; close friend of many years to James "Jim" Sferra. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Alfred and Etta Ayers. Went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 15, 2017 Age 79. Residence Goshen, OH and formerly of Jellico, TN. John served in the US Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked as a Supervisor and retired from Whiteway Spaulding Inc. He loved to hunt and fish; and restored a 1948 Studebaker pick-up truck. John was a simple man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life with his many friends and family. Visitation will be Friday August 18th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, OH. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday August 19th at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Goshen Cemetery. Special thanks to Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and assistance for John and his family.
