It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan Clyde Lee Jr., affectionately known as "Johnny', who left this world on May 10, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on December 30, 1941, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late Jonathan Lee and Doris (nee Martin) Lee.
Johnny enjoyed a fulfilling career as a salesman in the automotive industry, proudly representing Courtesy Chevy for over 20 years. His drive and passion for his work were evident, as he fostered lasting relationships with his colleagues and customers alike. An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force, Johnny served his country from July 3, 1961, until June 14, 1965, achieving the rank of Airman Second Class.
Outside of work, Johnny found immense joy in the open road, especially riding his cherished 1998 Softail Springer, which he purchased brand new. Over the years, he traversed over 50,000 miles, making unforgettable memories at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where he formed lifelong friendships with fellow riders. Whenever he was seen preparing for a ride, his infectious spirit echoed in his well-known phrases, often exclaiming, "I need a coke and a smoke," and "It is what it is."
Johnny is survived by his cherished wife, Pamela Lee (nee Schobert); Loving father of Michael (Grace) Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, and three step children; Wayne (Carla) McDonough, Chris (Christine) McDonough, and Josh (Katie) McDonough; Dear grandfather of eight; Cherished brother of Robert Lee and Gail Keckeis (the late Corky). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Rest in peace, Johnny. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will ride on in the hearts of those you loved so deeply.
