Joseph Xavier Bauman

Joseph Xavier Bauman, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 26, 2025. He was born on January 18, 1949, in Cincinnati, where he spent his life creating memories that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.Joe, as he was affectionately known, proudly earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Cincinnati in Political Science, a degree he used thoroughout his life, he went on to have a fulfilling career as a retired manager at the State Liquor Store in Milford. He was a Sons member of the Victor Stier American Legion Post 450. Those who knew Joe will remember him for his infectious laughter and warm spirit, often found enjoying his time at By Golly's in Milford, where he was a regular.An avid bowler, Joe thrived on the camaraderie of the sport, frequently sharing laughter and friendly competition with friends and family alike. His love for sports was palpable, with ESPN often serving as the soundtrack to his leisure time, as he passionately followed his favorite teams and rooted for their victories.Joseph is survived by his loving family, including his brothers Greg (Barb) Bauman, Jeff Bauman, Keith (Terri) Bauman, and sister Karen (Dan) Fields. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry on his legacy of kindness and joy. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Mae Bauman.A funeral Mass will be held in honor of Joseph Xavier Bauman on Wednesday December 3, 2025 at 1:30PM at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Visitation will take place at the Evans Funeral Home, Milford on Wednesday from 12:30pm until 1:15 pm. In this time of sorrow, we remember Joseph not only for his achievements but for the warmth he brought into our lives. May his spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts, reminding us to appreciate the joy in every moment. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
