Joseph Boruszewski

Joseph Boruszewski, a loving husband and devoted father, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Born to John and Sophie Boruszewski in Saginaw, Michigan, Joe was the youngest of six children. From a young age Joe exhibited his independence, like when he would take his red wagon to the library regularly to cart his books home. In college, Joe met Sue and they began a 52-year marriage filled with love and friendship. After graduation from Michigan State – go Green! – Joe began his career in banking, which would take him and his family to Texas and then Ohio. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool and bowling in leagues with his brothers. Joe was a loving father to Mike and Jennifer, and he always had time for them whether that was helping with homework, attending dance recitals or coaching sports teams. His lessons of love, hard work and commitment helped shape Mike and Jennifer as adults. After moving to Milford, Ohio for work, Joe gave generously of his time as the Chairman of the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati Eastern Region Campaign Chair and a Director of the Clermont County YMCA. One of the highlights in a long career in community banking was when Joe oversaw the formation of CenterBank as its first President. Joe was passionate about banking as a way of supporting local businesses and because it allowed him to constantly learn and meet new people. After retiring from CenterBank, Joe once again demonstrated his craftsmanship by remodeling their condo after recently downsizing. Never one to be idle, Joe returned to banking once the remodel was complete. ­­­His second retirement stuck in 2019, and he spent his retirement much like he had the rest of his life, spending time with family, staying busy with projects and avidly reading.  Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at 10:00AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton with mass beginning at 11:00AM.  Evans Funeral Home, Milford has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
