Joy Fay Moore

Joy Fay Moore, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on February 3, 1942, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she attended high school and developed a youthful passion for playing softball. Joy Fay's quiet, sweet, and reserved nature endeared her to many, and she created lasting bonds with those fortunate enough to know her.

Joy Fay was a dedicated grandmother, deeply involved in the upbringing of her grandchildren, instilling in them the values of kindness and compassion. In 2018, she became a cherished member of the SEM community, where she made many friends who will remember her warmth and gentle spirit.

Joy Fay was the loving mother to her two children James (Terri) Moore and Charlotte Taylor; Dear grandmother of Adam (Andrea) Langdon, Angie (John) Grimes, Michael Moore, Cody Shepard, James Taylor, and the late Ashley Moore; Great-grandmother of 6; Cherished sister of Betty Jo (Clayton) Jones and her late siblings Dorothy Jean Shackelford, Charles Lett, Claude Lett, Ronnie Lett, and Carl Lett. She is also preceded in death by her parents Ethridge and Evelyn (nee Bird) Lett.

Funeral services for Joy Fay Moore will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio, on December 18, 2024. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford, OH.
