Judith Virginia Dion (Deters), 73, a longtime resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on June 11th, 2017 at Bethesda Hospital. She was born July 8, 1943 the daughter of the late Stephen and late Virginia Osterbrock Deters. Survived by her loving husband of 47 years Maurice, three children and spouses, Maurice (Penny) Dion, Jr., Nicholas (Amy) Dion, and Gabrielle Dion (Matthew) Visca, one grandchild Abigail Dion, sister; Jane Puthoff and brother, Stephen Deters, She is preceded in death by her beloved dog, Mandy, who was the fourth in a long line of extremely spoiled Westies.
The family was raised in Indian Hill, Ohio and Judith graduated from Regina High School, and went on to receive her B.A. in education at Our Lady of Cincinnati college (Edgecliff). Upon graduating, she went on to teach primary school at All Saints Catholic school and later went on to work with adults with disabilities at Scarlet Oaks.
Maurice and Judy raised three children in Anderson Township, then retired to her "treehouse" condominium in Florence KY, where she enjoyed watching the nature outside as well as hosting numerous family gatherings with way too many snacks.
The couple also owned winter homes in Fort Myers, FL and Sebring, FL. A lover of travel, Judy was fortunate to see the world after retirement and raising children, bringing back trinkets and memories from Egypt (her favorite place), Europe, and South America, just to name a few. An avid "sheller" Judy also loved the ocean, with frequent trips to her happy place on Sanibel Island. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 5890 Buckwheat Rd. Milford, 45150. Reverend Michael Cordier will officiate the Mass. Family and friends may visit 6:00 to 8:00PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford
Burial will take place in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, OH.
