Judith Ann Klosterman

Judith Ann (nee Lang) Klosterman loving wife of 58 years to Kenneth Klosterman; devoted mother of Kimberly Klosterman (Michael Lowe), Jayme Klosterman (Carl Shapiro) and Kenneth "Chip" Klosterman, Jr.; and grandmother of Katie, Ellen and Olivia. Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday October 13, 2016. Age 78. Residence Goshen Township, Loveland, Ohio. Judy was born July 15, 1938 to Frank and Nettie Lang. She was a graduate of Beechwood High School and attended the University of Kentucky. Judy married Ken Klosterman on November 29, 1958 and assisted him in the family bakery business, Klosterman Baking Company, as Sales Coordinator for the wedding cake division in the 1970's. She was talented and active in many pursuits. Early on she was an avid golfer and former Northern Kentucky Golf Champion. Judy established Briarhill Kennel in the 1970's where she bred and showed many top champion collie dogs, leaving a national mark on the breed. Later she turned her efforts to thoroughbred racehorses, and along with her husband Ken, founded Langsem Farm in Southern Ohio in 1987. She was past president of Ohio Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and nationally recognized as Midwest Thoroughbred Breeder of the Year in 2000. Judy was an active antique collector and also one of the founding antique dealers of Cincinnati's first antique "mall", Owl's Nest Antiques. Visitation will be Tuesday October 18th from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford, OH. Following the visitation there will be a Celebration of Life Service from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
