It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Justin Tyler Shannon, a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, who departed this world on February 15, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on July 12, 1989, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Justin lived a vibrant life full of laughter, love, and an indomitable spirit.
Despite being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at an early age, Justin faced every challenge with a resilience that inspired those around him. He had a remarkable ability to brighten any room through his humor and his talent for reenacting unforgettable moments from his favorite TV shows and movies. Whether he was quoting classic lines from The Office or MASH, laughing along with Tim Allen on "Home Improvement," or sharing a moment of hilarity from Tik Tok, Facebook Reels or movies. Justin had a gift for making life enjoyable for everyone with his quick wit and snappy combacks. A passionate sports fan, Justin was a loyal supporter of the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals, sharing countless moments of joy with family and friends while cheering for his favorite teams. Music played a significant role in his life, with SHINEDOWN's powerful melodies being some of his favorite. Music was key as he navigated life's ups and downs. Justin also cherished the connections he built online, staying active on Facebook and TikTok, where he continued to share his humor and love with all.
Justin's spirit lives on in the hearts of his loving family: his parents, Duane & Ann Marie Shannon; his sister, Savannah Shannon; his brother, Nicholas Shannon; and a host of uncles, aunts, Tim (Suzette) Olson, his buddy Joe (Susan) Olson, Becky Todd, Danny Olson, Ron Trabish, Lynette Long, Rachel Hayes ; great uncle and aunt Tom & Brenda Berger and a host of cousins who adored him. His legacy of laughter and strength will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. Justin was preceded in death by: uncle David Todd, grandparents Richard Shannon & Lana Hayes and William & Mary Olson.
Friends and family will gather to honor Justin's remarkable life on Friday, Feb 20, 2026 at 11:30AM in the Evans Funeral Home, Milford with funeral services beginning at 1:00PM. We invite everyone who knew Justin to remember him fondly and to share their stories of joy and laughter that he inspired throughout his life.
Rest in peace, dear Justin. Your laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
