Karla Maria Theilman

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Karla Maria Theilman (nee Rzeppa) on June 25, 2025, at the age of 86.

Karla was born in Danzig on the Baltic Sea (now Gdańsk, Poland) during World War II. In her early years, she moved to Minden, Germany, and later immigrated to the United States in 1957 with her parents. At the age of 17, they boarded the General W.C. Langfitt in Bremerhaven, Germany, arriving in Brooklyn, New York. The Catholic Church played a vital role in helping the family settle in Cincinnati, Ohio, a city with a strong German community.

Karla continued her education at the University of Cincinnati, where she studied interior design. A beautiful and stylish woman, she had a passion for fashion and dabbled in modeling-even appearing on a few album covers.

At just 20 years old, she married the love of her life, Marv. Karla was an incredible cook and homemaker, and she played an active role in the family's mobile home business as a bookkeeper. She loved to travel, especially on annual trips to Canada and Florida. An avid angler, Karla was famous for her delicious fish-fries, particularly at their second home in the Florida Keys.

Beloved wife of Marvin R. Theilman for over 65 years. Devoted mother to Greg, Jeff, and Monica (John) Adams. Cherished daughter of the late Paul and Monika Rzeppa. Loving grandmother to Michael, Nick (Farran), Evan (Katie), Brittany (Jake), Sydney (Mark), John (Kate), and Devin (Drew). Proud great-grandmother to Chloe, Brooke, Hailee, Rose, Birdie, Shane, Luke, and the soon-to-arrive twins, Thomas and Terra.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home - Milford. Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Miami Township.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
