Karyl Jean Dunaway

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karyl Jean Dunaway. She was born on October 21, 1945, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of Lyle and Peggy (nee Simmons) Randall.

Karyl was the beloved wife of 58 years to her late husband Ronald Allan Dunaway; Loving mother to David (Tina) Dunaway, Daniel Dunaway, and mother-in-law to Brigitte Dunaway; Dear grandmother of Dillon, Ryan, Tabatha, Dallas, Daven, Denzel, Dalton, Dezarae, Dani, Stephen, and Nicole; Great-grandmother of Aubrey, Hayven, Jeffrey, and Thaddeus.

Along with her parents and husband, Karyl is preceded in death by her two sons Dale Dunaway and Dean Dunaway, and her brother Gary Randall.

Karyl dedicated nearly three decades of her life to running her beloved Tennessee Walker horse farm, New Hope Stables, in Hadley, Michigan. Her passion for horses and all animals shone through in every aspect of her life. Karyl will be remembered for her warm and engaging conversations, her love for a good cup of coffee, and her ability to impart wisdom onto others. She cherished her family above all else, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.

Karyl passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 78. Resident of Liberty Township, OH.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at Evans Funeral Home - 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Wayne Township.
