Katherine Marie Kraus

Katherine Marie Kraus, age 91, of Miami Township, passed away peacefully at her home June 21, 2022. She was born January 20, 1931 in Williamsburg, the daughter of Ballard Preston and Maxine (nee Vaughan) Howlett. She was a registered nurse with 38 years of service at The Christ Hospital. After retirement, she and her husband, Harold moved to Florida where she was a realtor for 20 years with Watson Realty. She is survived by her husband; Harold Joseph Kraus, children; Donna (Richardo) Ramos, Larry Cole, Leatha Zelaya, Rocky (Kimberle) Cole, Charles Cole, and Louise (Tim) Howard, step-mother of Joe Kraus, Kathy (Steve) Wedding, Noni Dietrich, Terry Kraus and John Kraus, grandmother of Milagros Ramos, Alex Ramos, Amanda Spangler, Michelle Ramos, Christina Cole, Bailey Cole, Tricia (Paul) Leon, Jennifer Heath, Carmen (Rick) Helmers, Cameron Cole, Krystal (J.T.) Haynes, Monica Green, Jon Howard, Chelsea (Criss) Howard and 39 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her children; Howard Cole and Nancy Cole, step-son; Steve Kraus, granddaughter; Melissa Green, and her siblings Ada Mae Lawson, Preston Lee Howlett, Myra Lou Proctor, Stanley Edward Howlett, Floyd Ernest Howlett, James K.C. Howlett, Roy Curtis Howlett, Joseph Andrew Howlett, William Alfred Howlett, Nora Pearl Howlett and Charlene Faye Howlett. Services will be 1:30 Pm Monday, June 27, 2022 with visitation from 12:30 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford. Her family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor to Hospice of Cincinnati or St. Jude.
