Kathryn Lynn Cecile Cote

March 4, 1951 — December 29, 2016

Kathryn Lynn Cecile Roy Cote, age 65, of Milford passed peacefully from this earth into the arms of Our Lord on December 29, 2016 after celebrating a wonderful Christmas and the birthday of Baby Jesus. Kathy was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 4, 1951 where she lived most of her life. She moved to Milford, Ohio in 2005 with her older sister and brother-in-law.
Kathy graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine and the following year was in a car/motorcycle accident that left her with the loss of her left leg mid knee. From there on her life was very difficult with much pain and hardships.
Kathryn's parents, Arthur and Yvette Roy are both deceased. Surviving, she has one sister, Sheila Woodard (spouse- Mark Woodard) and a brother, Arthur Roy Jr. of Lewiston. Her three nephews: Dr. Kevin Woodard of Littleton, Colorado, Dr. Shawn Woodard of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Robert Roy of Wisconsin were the joys of her life along with Shawn's children- Kaitlyn, Ethan, and Ella. She has one set of aunt/uncles left, Normand and Fleurette Dumont of Pennsylvania who were also Kathy's Godparents and many cousins scattered throughout many states, mostly the New England area.
A parishioner of St Elizabeth Ann Seton, she was also a member of the Ladies of Seton. She enjoyed monthly amputee meetings in Montgomery until she became completely wheelchair bound. Kathy was also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War as her brother served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Her avid interest in the Boston Red Sox and Barry Manilow led her to many autographed baseballs and hand written letters from both. She enjoyed her many Disney-Florida vacations and just loved every cat and kitten she saw. Sheila's dogs: Starr and Tara were also great loves of hers and they loved her as well, following her everywhere.
Kathy will be a big loss and very missed by all, especially her sister, Sheila. There will be no more nightly card playing while watching tv with the two of them.
Mass will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Milford with Reverend Michael Cordier celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be prior to the Mass at Evans Funeral Home in Milford from 10:30 to 11:30am.
