Kathryn Ann Rugh Stidham

Kathy Stidham died Saturday, November 9th, 2019. Born in Hazard, Kentucky, to Dr. Wally and Betty Rugh, Kathy grew up in Cincinnati, graduated from St. Ursula High School, and went to Vincennes University in Indiana. After college, Kathy returned to Cincinnati to work in the medical field for many years. She joined Beta Sigma Phi sorority in 2003, was honored as Woman of the Year for 2012-13, and received her Order of the Rose in April, 2019, an honor that recognizes her 15 years in sorority and sharing the many ways she found to be of service to others.

Kathy enjoyed simple things in life like reading a good book, playing bingo, and rooting for the Bengals and the Reds. She was a loyal friend and had an incredible memory for important people in others' lives, often commemorating birthdays and holidays with a card or a handwritten note. Kathy also enjoyed visiting the beach at Sea Island, traveling to new places, and collecting spoons from around the world.

Kathy is survived by her brother, Jim Rugh (Mari Jo), her daughter, Kate Huyvaert (Paul Doherty, Jr.), and her son, Billy. She is also survived by cousins who were dear to her: Mary Jo Pfaff (Steve), Nancy Wiggins (Tom), Chris Rugh (Julie), and their children. A memorial service honoring her memory will be held in the spring in Cincinnati.
